Naturally, fans are eager to see where the fallen Avenger’s solo adventure will take her and how she’ll look. However, fans also don’t have to wait too long to get a glimpse of Natasha Romanoff in anything outside of her usual black spandex suit. This is all thanks to a Black Widow cosplayer who bears a striking resemblance to Scarlett Johansson.
Black Widow Cosplayer Absolutely Nails the Look
laurossbow, a cosplayer who frequently posts her videos on the video-sharing social media platform, Tik Tok, has gone viral numerous times already. Previously, fans loved her take on Scarlet Witch, also known as Wanda. This time around, laurossbow’s gone viral after uploading a video of herself in full-on costume as the former KGB assassin. She’s donned in Black Widow’s white suit, which is set to make its film debut in the Black Widow movie. Scarlett Johansson made her live-action debut as Black Widow in 2010 with Iron Man 2 as a S.H.I.E.L.D operative assigned by Nick Fury himself to keep a close watch on Tony Stark, otherwise also known as Iron Man. From there, Johansson’s become a fixture in the MCU universe as she became a founding member of the famous superhero team, Avengers. However, despite appearing in numerous big MCU films, the upcoming Black Widow movie will mark her first-ever solo film and, quite probably, the last. In case you missed it, Scarlett Johansson’s character, Black Widow, sacrificed herself in Avengers: Endgame. Her selfless deed would help the superhero team secure the Soul Stone, one of the six Infinity Gems needed to reverse Thanos’ decision to wipe out half the life on the universe, otherwise known as the blip. With that said, the Black Widow film is a particularly big one. Even though Black Widow is already dead in the current MCU timeline, that doesn’t mean that she no longer has a story to tell. In particular, her life before joining up with S.H.I.E.L.D and eventually, the Avengers, is a treasure trove of material that fans will finally get a glimpse of in the upcoming movie. Speaking of story, the Black Widow film will reportedly be set after the events of Captain America: Civil War but before the start of Avengers: Infinity War. It will offer a look at Natasha’s past before the events of the MCU film. The movie will have her going up against an all-new villain in Taskmaster. In addition to providing some story background for the beloved heroine, Black Widow also marks just the second female-led MCU film. The first, Captain Marvel, was released in 2019. Black Widow will hit theaters and Disney Plus Premiere Access on July 9, 2021.
