Maslany did this during an interview with Extra where she made the following statement, “I mean, I don’t think so, yet. Kevin in the scene seems to be very dismissive of this idea, so, if we’re basing this off of the real Kevin, it doesn’t seem likely. But he was also, I think, just trying to get rid of Jen, because she was asking too many questions… I don’t know. If I could be coy, and have some little secret, I would do that. But, I really don’t. I don’t know anything.” Maslany was not the only person from the show to express these thoughts. Jessica Gao, who created and penned the show’s script, revealed to Comicbook.com that she is tired and will like to take a break from the series before even considering another season. Gao, who recently gave birth stated, “I just gave birth. I’m still on a hospital bed. Give me a second. And that’s how I feel right now.” The show follows Jennifer Walters, Bruce Banner’s cousin, who becomes a female version of the popular Marvel Comics character after his blood cross-contaminates with hers by accident. Following this, Walters, who is an attorney starts representing the legal interests of other superhumans while trying to come to terms with her new powers. Apart from Maslany, She-Hulk also starred Mark Ruffalo, Jameela Jamil, Ginger Gonzaga, Charlie Cox, Benedict Wong, Josh Segarra, Megan Thee Stallion, Tim Roth, and Jon Bass, among others. Maslany is best known for her role as Sarah Manning in the sci-fi show Orphan Black which was well received by both audiences and critics and for which she won a Primetime Emmy Award, among others. Her other acting credits include the movies Diary of the Dead, The Other Half, Woman in Gold, and Destroyer, as well as the shows Heartland, The Nativity, Perry Mason, and Being Erica. Apart from She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Gao has worked on other notable Hollywood shows, including Rick & Morty, Silicon Valley, Star Wars: Detours, Robot Chicken, Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness, and Mighty B! She also has two shows Oh Hell No and The Undesirables in the works. Regardless of the comments made by Gao and Maslany, there was always little chance that the show would be renewed by Disney+. So far, Loki is the only Marvel Comics show that the streaming platform has renewed for a second season even though shows like Moon Knight and Hawkeye received rave reviews and had fans clamoring for second seasons. Besides, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law had a satisfactory ending, unlike the other shows which finished on a cliffhanger. For all intents, the show is over, which means a new season will require an entirely new storyline. Nevertheless, there is no telling what the folks at Disney will do and fans of She-Hulk could very well get what they wish for. For now, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law continues streaming on Disney+. By the way, Marvel teased a new Hulk movie during She-Hulk’s season finale. Also, the media company has reportedly pushed back the release date of Avengers: Secret Wars from November 2025 to May 2026. The company is also reportedly adapting One Thousand and One Nights into a feature film.
