How much space is Call of Duty: Vanguard going to consume?
Everyone knows just how obscenely large video games are becoming these days, and the Call of Duty franchise is especially notorious in this regard. In fact, two of its most recent titles made it to our list of the largest games ever in terms of file size. Thus, it only makes sense for people to assume that Vanguard is going to take up quite a bit of space, which is only partly true.

However, this is because the listing is for the cross-gen bundle of Vanguard. This means that it includes both the Xbox One version and the Xbox Series X versions of the game. The truth is that Vanguard’s file size is actually much more manageable at about 75GB for the Xbox One version, with the Xbox Series X version coming in at 95GB. While nearly 100GB isn’t exactly small, it is relatively slim compared to its predecessors. This is especially when you consider that Vanguard is aiming to provide the best and most realistic graphics ever in Activision’s popular shooter franchise. Such ambitions usually come at the price of gargantuan file sizes, so Vanguard’s listed size is a welcome change of pace, believe it or not. With that said, we do expect the listed file size to balloon down the line. After all, Vanguard isn’t just any single-player title. It has an extensive single-player campaign set in an alternate history of World War II, a massive multiplayer mode, and even a Zombies mode by Treyarch. When you combine all of its features and future content updates, we wouldn’t be surprised if it ends up taking up as much space as Black Ops Cold War at 250GB.
