According to an earlier report, Activision plans on holding a two-day PlayStation-exclusive Alpha test for Vanguard starting on August 27. Keep in mind that this isn’t confirmed information. However, the same report claims that Activision was aiming for a November 5 launch for the game, which did turn out to be 100% accurate. So, you might still want to circle that date on your calendars if you have a PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5.

In particular, what it is going to be about and its file size. All three previous Call of Duty games have a battle royale mode. For Black Ops 4, it was Blackout. For Modern Warfare, it was Warzone. Then, for Cold War, it was Multi-Team Elimination. Thus, Champion Hill likely refers to the battle royale mode for Vanguard, which will reportedly be around 19GB to 21GB in size. The leaker speculates that the Vanguard Alpha pre-load will start on August 26.

If we circle back to the previous report, the leaker added that Activision plans on holding another PlayStation-exclusive Open Beta test from September 10 to 12. After this, Activision is going to hold an Open Beta test for all platforms from September 16 to September 20. Judging by how Electronic Arts and 343 Industries have held technical previews for their Battlefield 2042 and Halo Infinite, respectively, we wouldn’t be surprised if Activision did the same thing.
