Announced by Treyarch via the developer’s official Twitter account, the double XP event will affect regular experience, Warzone experience and Battle Pass experience over the course of three days, kicking off at 10AM PT Friday, March 26 lasting the whole weekend until 10AM PT Monday, March 29. Not only will this let you blitz through those Battle Pass tiers in due time, but give you ample time to prepare for next week’s mid-season update. This update will be unlocking the second half of Season 2 content, some of which we know about already either thanks to official press releases or because Activision accidentally released them early, like that crossbow that came and went. The mid-season update should probably drop on Tuesday as usual, bringing new weapons, operators, game modes, maps and more to all three modes - Multiplayer, Zombies and Warzone. We expect the addition of the Sanatorium Fireteam map in Outbreak and the return of the limited time Snipers Only Moshpit mode, as confirmed by Treyarch in the Twitter thread. Additionally, it’s expected that the on-going Zombies crossover event with Warzone will keep ramping up, with more and more undead outbreaks to come throughout Verdansk. In-game hints and data mined info indicates a massive Zombie apocalypse in Warzone as the season draws to a close which will herald a new battle royale map in Season 3. Whether or not Verdansk will be permanently destroyed is anyone’s guess, but we somehow feel such a drastic measure won’t be made. Clear your schedules, coordinate with your friends, and get ready for a weekend full of Call of Duty! Where will you be dropping?
